Privacy Policy

VigiGym ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in the VigiGym app.
Information We Collect
- User-provided data: Information you enter in the app, such as workout routines, weights, reps, or sets.
- Device information: Non-personal data such as device model, operating system, and app version — processed anonymously by TelemetryDeck (see Third-Party Services below).
- No sensitive data: We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, or contact details unless voluntarily provided.
Data Storage
- Your training data is stored locally on your iPhone or Apple Watch. If you enable iCloud Sync (off by default), routines, workouts, and history are additionally synchronized via Apple CloudKit to your private iCloud account. See the iCloud Sync section below for details.
- We do not transfer or share your workout data with third parties.
- Only subscription status and purchase info are handled via Apple's App Store infrastructure.
- iCloud Sync is off by default. When enabled, data syncs only to your private iCloud account — VigiGym has no access to it.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
VigiGym offers optional iCloud synchronization across your Apple devices. This feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in Settings → iCloud Sync.
When enabled:
- Your workout routines, workout configurations, individual sets, and workout history are synchronized via Apple CloudKit
- Data is stored exclusively in your private iCloud database — only the Apple ID signed in on your device can access it
- VigiGym as the app developer has no access to your synchronized data
Data that is never synchronized to iCloud, even when iCloud Sync is enabled:
- Heart rate data (remains local on the device that recorded it)
- Widget state
- Apple Watch workout data (remains on the Watch; synced to iPhone via direct device-to-device connection, not via iCloud)
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings. Disabling stops further synchronization but does not delete data already present in your iCloud account.
Apple Health & HealthKit
VigiGym integrates with Apple Health via HealthKit to provide heart rate tracking during workouts and to record completed training sessions in your Health app. This integration is optional and requires your explicit permission the first time you start a workout with an Apple Watch paired.
Data we READ from Apple Health:
- Heart rate samples during active workout sessions
Data we WRITE to Apple Health:
- Workout sessions (type: functional strength training), including start time, end time, and duration
HealthKit data is processed exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, analytics providers, or any third party. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining purposes, and we do not sell HealthKit data to anyone.
You can revoke VigiGym's access to HealthKit at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → VigiGym on your iPhone. Revoking access does not delete your existing workout history within VigiGym — that data remains on your device or in your iCloud account as configured.
Third-Party Services
Apple StoreKit is used for handling subscriptions and in-app purchases. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to payment processing.
We do not integrate:
- Advertising networks
- Invasive third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel)
- Social media tracking
- Crash reporting tools that send personal data externally
Analytics (App)
Starting with v3.1, VigiGym uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous app usage analytics. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not collect personally identifiable information, does not store IP addresses, and does not use cookies. All user identifiers are anonymized before transmission, in compliance with GDPR.
Collected data includes:
- Anonymous app events (e.g., when the paywall is shown, which plan is selected, and similar usage interactions)
- Device metadata (model, OS version, app version)
Not collected:
- Your workout data (remains local on your device)
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Your IP address
TelemetryDeck servers are hosted in the European Union (Germany and Netherlands). For details, see telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your data directly in the app.
- Deletion: You can delete your workout data at any time within the app settings.
- Data Portability: Export your data using the app's export feature.
- Uninstall: If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
GDPR Compliance
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Children's Privacy
VigiGym is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
